Does the Inspire 3 count stairs?

Sometimes I see my Inspire 3 counting stairs on the device itself, but then in my Fitbit app or dashboard online, it will never show any stairs.


Does the Inspire 3 have an altimeter and count stairs, or no?

Hi @SunsetRunner no, it lacks the altimeter. You can see it's not listed under the activities tracked and also on page 52 of the user manual.

Thanks for the response. I used to love the Fitbit One which counted stairs - that was released in 2012 and discontinued in 2017. I'm sure the company has its reasons, but I'm surprised a newer product sold in 2023 doesn't have a pretty useful feature that they offered back in 2012!

That happens to me too. I just think that it counts steps, but not a very reliable step counter when it comes to stairs.
