I feel like my Fitbit (inspire 3) is way overestimating my steps while my apple app (just on phone so still definitely less) underestimates. my BMR is about 1,250 I’m female 5”2 and 119 lbs. I’m trying to be in a calorie deficit and I can’t work out due to pain issues so I walk a ton. My Fitbit says I burnt 2,500 calories today. I walked 22,000 steps just for walks throughout the day, and I just feel like that number might be too high.
Does this seem like an accurate estimate of calories for fit bit? Or over-estimated? I can’t tell how much it’s overestimating. I don’t want to have to walk this much to lose weight or go below 1,500 for eating so it would be nice if this was a little more accurate.. but I doubt it. Usually I stick to eating around 1,300 calories a day and walking a ton. I used to be able to work out a lot but now I’m injured for an indefinite amount of time so walking is all I can do to burn off the food I eat. My apple fitness app (only connected to iPhone so only counts steps when holding phone). Would usually mark that amount of steps at around 1,800 which feels like a little too little but maybe I’m wrong. Which one should I rely on more? Should I maybe pick a number between the two?
