Extreme and sudden decrease in battery performamce for Inspire 3

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I got an Inspire 3 about 2 months ago and I've been getting around 9-10 days of battery life. For the past week though, all of a sudden i barely get 2 days of battery life. The only thing I can think of causing this was my battery died but it was only like that for a few hours before I charged it. But even that doesn't explain the sudden drop.

Anyone else have a similar experience and know why it might have happened?

No idea why it happened but in general the best way to maintain rechargeable batteries is to keep them between 20% and 80% charged.  I almost always recharge mine at around 30%.  It's 6 months old and I'm still getting a week before it's down to 30%.

@toror5 whenever I encounter unexpected behavior from my Fitbit, the first thing I do is restart the device. If you haven't done that before, the instructions are here.  Usually, that is enough to get it working right again.

If you've already tried that and it didn't make a difference, there are some tips here on how to extend your battery life.

I'm equally baffled. Recharged Aug 5, Aug 7, and now Aug 8 in the morning.

I don't use it for more than tracking steps and sleep so I don't have many bells and whistles turned on that would cause battery drain and certainly not a sudden drain.

So any further suggestions are welcome.
