Family account with Inspire 3

My daughter (10) spent quite some time saving for her own fitbit. She bought an inspire 3. I wanted to add her as a child within our family account and was astounded to find out this seems to be impossible. Hopefully I am wrong. Does anyone know how to add her fitbit as a child account?

Cheers,

Martijn

I’m very sorry, but you can’t put an Inspire 3 on a family account.  The only device series that can be on a family account is the Ace series.

I know this will be frustrating to you and her.  In a nutshell, it has to do with children and internet privacy laws.  The Inspire 3’s programming includes a web based dashboard.  A child can’t have a device like this for the same reason they can’t have a Facebook account.  The family account and the Ace series programming meet the internet privacy protection requirements.
