I was following the 194.91 Update thread for months. Whenever I checked I repeatability saw a number of challenges... such as sleep splitting, erratic heart readings, zone minutes off, syncing issues, watch no longer working, etc. I see the main firmware update thread is now closed since the majority of Inspire 3 customers reported successfully updating to Firmware Update 194.91. I do know people mainly come here to post challenges, but I hardly saw any posts that issues were getting resolved and it is now working. I would be interested in hearing from both those that had issues and it is now working and those still struggling or gave up.

How do I know if my device has update. It is no longer syncing to the app. Very frustrating

Open Fitbit app and click on device battery icon in upper left and then select your device... be aware if you are not at the latest it tells you an upgrade is available right off on this first page. Once you click device the next page tells version. Compare the last numbers to see if at 194.91.

There are hundreds of product performance related complaints on both the 194.91 FW and App SW forums, so it seems like it would be very difficult for anyone that is not involved with the Inspire 3 FW/SW development to know if these are device FW or app SW issues.
Looking forward to receiving updates for both.

The thing that is so amazing and confusing is that on Amazon it reflects 1000s have been sold in the last month. I have to assume they have resolved the challenges as the rating is still 4.4 and can't imagine still be selling if they were getting tons of returns.... but I still have not seen any real post that there has been fixes/changes. Since my watch works perfectly, I will never update it, but I posted this question as I was actually considering purchasing additional Inspire 3 for family and wanted to confirm everything is okay with the new ones.

My Inspire 3 works great, but my wife had three of them that never returned detailed sleep stage data or Breathing Rate and HRV heart metrics, every night.
I even gave my wife my known-good Inspire 3 device to wear and it still didn't work properly for her, so it is very clear to me that these devices work fine for some people, but very poorly for others, for reasons that only Google FW/SW developers know for sure.
As long as you are buying the Inspire 3 devices for your family from Amazon, and you are okay with the new detailed sleep stage charts that most people don't seem to like, then I would say go for it, because those devices can be returned for any reason within the first 30 days of ownership, which is plenty of time to test them out.
