Fitbit Inspire 3 records different lengths for same swim workout

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I do the same swim workout three or four times a week. 30 lengths and 25 m pool. 10 lengths of freestyle 10 lengths of backstroke three lengths of breaststroke and two lengths of kick.  The first two workouts I did with the Fitbit it recorded as the same distance but the subsequent ones and there have been six to eight at this point are different. I also noticed it didn't record an hour and a half of bike riding the other day. I read some of the forums on this topic and went through the laundry list of possible fixes. Do I have a lemon or is this just how the Fitbit performs?

Hi, @Slyons15, welcome to the community, you may find this article helpful How do I track swims with my Fitbit device? As with other exercises, arm movement is analysed to determine activity. Kickboard work without arm movement will not register. I swim freestyle daily using the auto-recognize feature and get proper length counts over 80-minute swims.

When you went on your bike ride did you start the exercise on your "Inspire 3"?, unless you do this you will not get the GPS data (do not forget to set GPS "on" in the "Bike" exercise & take your phone with you)

I've recently been walking with the "Inspire 3" and have no problems recording my exploits. You may like to review the manual to clarify recording your exercises.

I hope this helps but if you are still stuck please post here again.

Cheers
