I have owned my Inspire 3 for 1 year and 2 months. Day before yesterday, the battery was at full charged at 9am and depleted before nigthfall. Customer service gave me several steps to take, all of which i did (restart, sycn every 2 hours while charging, restart, etc). Nothing has changed the fast depletion situation. I have been offered a 35% discount on a new fitbit. It seems that something may have changed in the software, and the creeps running fitbit programmed it such that after warranty, device becomes basically unusable. This is quite sleezy. I had been a good customer for 11 years, and this is my 3rd device. I had been satisfied, but now its time for an APPLE WATCH.
I will see where else I can file a consumer complaint in my state.

@rickmar I know this isn't anyone's preferred option, but have you tried a factory reset? I had a similar issue with my Pixel Watch recently. None of the typical troubleshooting steps worked. Finally, I did a factory reset. It was a nuisance, but it did work.
