After downgrading to Google account, as demanded by Fitbit, my emails now go to my Gmail mail account that I do not use. However my wife’s emails still are received at the email account we actually use. So some are saying it has to go to Gmail and can’t be changed but this is incorrect as my wife’s still functions correctly. My Fitbit however is going in the trash and I will find another monitor that is not google.

Hello @Nab1! Welcome to our community forums!
I'm sorry to hear that you want to use a different email address for your account. I appreciate the information provided.
When migrating to Google, you can only use emails that aren't linked to a Fitbit account. Do you share the email address you want to use with your wife, or is it yours?
Additionally, please confirm if you have access to the email address where Fitbit is sending your emails.

Hi, @Nab1, welcome to the community. You may find this article in Gmail Help useful: Add another email account in the Gmail app - Android - Gmail Help. From a practical point of view, the Gmail app works well. You will also find more advice at Gmail help. FYG, I've been using the app for a number of years with other email accounts and have no concerns.
I hope this helps.
Cheers
