Hello-
I will have to return my fitbit immediately after purchasing. I'm very sad about this, as I had been looking forward to getting it for a while.
The fact that 1) I have to use my Google account and 2) it won't sync to the Apple Health app make this worse than useless, and a data privacy nightmare.
Is there any solution or work around to getting my Fitbit data to sync with Apple Health that is NOT a third-party work around app?
I understand Fitbit is a Google product, and so it won't sync with Apple due to competition, but all this is doing is driving away customers (like me) who would be more interested in a successful, well-integrated product. Additionally, it is unnecessary to need a Google account pairing. Stop removing this feature! Customers should be allowed to decide how much data they want bundled under one roof (hint, not all of it).
I know many people who dumped their Fitbit during the Google merger and now I understand why. These are easily solvable changes that would actually prevent me from buying an alternative product (like an Apple Watch, your competitors product) instead.

Hi @Choochootrainn if you ever had a Fitbit account, you can use it until at least 2025. If you're new to Fitbit, then yes, you will need the Google account. You can learn more from this article - click to read.
