Heart rate monitor cut out during sleep

Has anyone had this issue where the heart rate monitor stops recording for 10 mins or so during sleep? None of the other monitors cut out, oxygen sats were continually working?

Hi, @Emzalot , that does happen sometimes and is usually caused by your sleep position.  If your wrist is significantly flexed the Fitbit will not be able to detect a consistent heart beat.  It could also be because you are wearing the Fitbit a little too loosely so that it slides around during the night.  For best results the Fitbit should be snug on your wrist, but not overly tight.

Hi @Julia_G I thought that might have been the case as it is slightly loose, but I didnt get why the oxygen stats didn’t cut out also?

Hi, @Emzalot I think the oxygen sensor does not require as much consistency as the heartrate.  I believe it samples less frequently and that is why you cannot check it “on demand” as you can with the heartrate.
