My nephew played with my fitbit and switched a setting which now says Clipped to body.  How can I fix this?

My pleasure.

My 20 month old grandson changed the settings on my Inspire 3 device faster than I could respond to him touching it, so I had to figure that out also.

His eyes lit up as soon as he saw the clock face on the Inspire 3 awaken, and then he changed the settings in a matter of seconds after that.

Hi Bill_209.  I don't see your response.  Do I need to click on a particular spot?

Just swipe down the clock face and scroll until you see 'clipped on body'.  Then, click that to change it back to 'worn on wrist'.  Finally, quickly press the two side buttons to return the display to the clock face.

My fitbit does not have any side buttons and the watch does not respond
when I press on the face of it when I click on the auto wake screen. It
just says it can't be changed since the watch is clipped to my body.
I checked on my phone to make sure I have a Inspire 3 and that's what it
shows in the bluetooth settings.

The two side buttons can't be seen, but they are there and respond to touch.

Lightly put your finger on the clock face and then swipe downwards to get to the other settings , but be careful not to accidentally change any settings that you don't want to because they are very sensitive to touch.

The first setting will be 'auto wake on/off'.  Swipe past that until you get to 'clipped on body' and then tap the screen to change it back to 'worn on wrist'.  After doing that, quickly press both sides of the device to return to the clock face.

On Inspire, tap on watch face, keep swiping down until you come to worn on wrist or in your case probably clipped. Tap and follow directions from there. Hope this helps.
