I bought my 'inspire 3' with Premium on Friday 30th (30/12/2022) and I can't even find 'Detect Snoring'.

I taped on the Sleep tile-gear icon, scrolled down and it won't go past 'Bedtime Reminder' ???????????????

Welcome to the Community, @Eddietla.

I've moved your post to the Inspire 3 board so we can keep the forums organized. Thanks for your efforts and details provided. Let me explain the Snore & Noise Detect is a feature available with a Premium subscription when using either a Sense or Versa 3, as these devices have the necessary hardware to track this data.

I'm sorry if this causes any inconvenience. Our team strives to improve our products, and your feedback is a big part of the process. You can always check the User Manual to verify what features are available on the Inspire 3.

Snore and noise detect is listed as available on inspire3. Are you saying this information is incorrect?

Best Answer

@Spudwoman Do you know where you saw that because I checked the website and I don't see anything about snore or noise detect being on the Inspire 3. As @LizzyFitbit stated, it's a Fitbit Premium feature.

@Spudwoman   The Inspire 3 doesn't have the hardware to detect snoring.  Several Fitbit models have a microphone, but snore detection is only available on the Sense/Versa 3 with a Premium subscription.  I agree with @Heather-S that it would help if you could post your source.  That error should get fixed.

Yes, I’m sorry, I watched so many YouTube’s before buying mine only a couple days ago that I bamboozled myself with info. I wanted one for snoring so in my eagerness I ripped myself off. I have a premium subscription and thought that would allow me the extra stats. I also wanted oxygen saturation and skin temp. I did get the oxygen saturation but it’s been the same for last 3 days?  The YouTube’s  I watched were “The Quantified Scientist” comparing Fitbit (and multiple other brands) results with actual lab results. Fitbit3 was his recommendation for accuracy..

No harm, no foul.  😉

The Quantified Scientist makes excellent, unbiased videos.  I highly recommend them.

Hi there, @Spudwoman@Heather-S and @LZeeW Thanks for your help!

@Spudwoman Thanks for the details provided. As our friends mentioned, the Snore Detect feature isn't available for the Inspire 3. It might be they confused this tracker with the Versa 3, which indeed can track noise and snore data with a Premium subscription, when making the video.

I appreciate your feedback and while there are some useful videos in YouTube, I recommend to always verify the features available for our Fitbit devices in either our website, User Manual or help site.

There is a setting under wellness called “sleep sensitivity.” Does this detect snoring?

Best Answer

Hello @Psingleton and welcome to the Community.  No, it doesn’t.  The Inspire 3 can’t detect snoring.  That sleep sensitivity setting is only for older model trackers, still in use, that don’t have heart rate monitors.

@Psingleton Welcome on board. @LZeeW It's always great to see you and thanks for your help.

@Psingleton As our friend mentioned, the sleep sensitivity isn't related to the Snore Detect function and is primarily used by members who have a device that records sleep patterns instead of sleep stages. To learn more about how sleep data is recorded, you can check this help article.
