Inaccurate readings

Day 1 of a Fitbit inspire 3 and I’ve walked 3 miles today, and done a 3 mile bike ride. Sat at a desk in between but I’ve apparently clocked up 15km and 11.5k steps. These readings are not correct and are inflated. What do I change in settings please for accuracy. Otherwise its purpose isn’t being met. Thank you

Hi @CazzaN880, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with the accuracy of your new Inspire 3. Thank you for the details provided.

On the Fitbit app you can check the time you had active time. Do the duration of your activities match in time with the activity you did?

On the other hand, there are several reasons why the steps count and distance may differ to reality. This being said, i'd suggest that you take a look at our help article How accurate are Fitbit devices? See the section "Why does my step count differ depending on where I wear my Fitbit device?", "Why does my Fitbit device count extra steps?" and "Why does my Fitbit device count steps when I’m riding a bike?

In addition, since you have an Inspire 3, it's important that you properly define how you are wearing your device. See What can I do if my step count seems inaccurate?
