Hi,
Just trying to update the software on my daughter's new Fitbit but we just get an error message.
Please advise how to fix this.

Hi, @thereisnosquare welcome to the community, Please let us know the make & model of the cellphone.
If you are running an Android phone open the Fitbit app, go to your phone settings>apps>Fitbit>check all permissions are allowed>storage & cache, clear cache>Mobile date & WiFi ensure background data & unrestricted data usage are allowed, check you have enough credit in the cellphone data account>app battery usage, unrestricted. Return to the update and try an install again.

I'm not quite familiar with iOS devices, but you could ask on their own Forum to see if anyone can give you the right indications.
