Inspire 3 Firmware Update 194.61

7/13 Update: We’re continuing to roll out this firmware for the Inspire 3 Firmware Update 194.61, and expect more customers are able to update their devices. This is a progressive rollout and all customers can expect to have it within a few weeks. We release updates in phases so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed. If you don't see the option to update, don't worry - you'll have it soon!


We’re excited to announce that a firmware update version 194.61 for Inspire 3 will be available soon! Some of you might already have this update available. If you installed it, let us know what you think!

We release updates to customers in phases. If you don’t see it, check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.

*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

ah i see, sorry i thought the problem is with regular sleep tracking. Short naps arent tracked very well with my device too. As i dont do naps often, it is no big problem for me tho. Hope you get better results in the future!

The problem I find with my app is the constant variation in the amount of steps and mileage covered indicator.

eg. It may indicate 8000 steps and 5 miles covered, and a short time later it will read 10,000 steps and 4 miles covered. Very odd!

On the point of ditching the whole thing.

Be careful what you wish for!  Based on the feedback here, I'm happy to stay on 188.58.  Four months after the announcement, it seems unlikely that they are still pushing out the update.  They just updated the iPhone app and it no longer displays seconds in the duration, although you can get it if you log into Fitbit on your computer.  For those of us who like to track our running and/or walking pace, that's a definite step backwards.

Just updated! What has actually changed? Can I now edit my exercise? It doesn’t look like it. Why can’t we have what we used to have? Prior to October I had perfectly good Fitbit which recorded my sleep and allowed me to categorise an exercise. This is no longer the case, so what’s going on?

This was a really bad update which just happened, we were not given a
choice which in my opinion is wrong. I just wish they would revert it back
to what it was before this enforced update.

Your post says "Full release notes can be found here" which brings us to https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2302.htm and on this page, if you click the Inspire 3 section, you get the following content:

VERSION 188.58

  • This release includes bug fixes and improvements.

 

1) I don't think this is really the latest update being brocasted now in Nov-2023.  Please fix it.

2) What is the list of all the bug fixes and improvements list that should be mentioned here in this section called "What's changed in the latest Fitbit device update?"

Finally got the update! Late but nevertheless. Interestingly I have just one new watch face. I thought there were 4!

One of the worst updates to an app ever. May be Evernote is next.. This fitbit update is so bad that it has made the app Totaly unusable. Can't believe such great thinking minds come together to bring such worst decisions. You can't find what you're looking for in front page. So much confusion where to go. The Google play store has such bad reviews for fitbit app now. If this goes like this. My next smartband is gonna be non fitbit. Like garmin. They have a superb app. I can't remember how can update can go so wrong that user is not even willing to use the app.

understandable. sadly n the Android world there isnt an alternative regarding sleep tracking, which is the most important for me. that said, i might once again switch to apple as google went from a customer centered company to a horrible power hungry one in the last 10 years

I got the tracker firmware update today.  I was expecting a notification on the main app screen.  I didn't realize I had to tap the battery icon to see it, so it may have been ready for days (or weeks or months) for all I know.  Haven't played with it much but I can't see much different.  The screens I've looked at all look pretty much the same. The way I use the Inspire 3, I don't think it will affect me at all.

Version 63.20001.188.58 Inspire 3.So if you are on 194.91 perhaps that
version may come to others of us that got the useless 188.58.
