We’re excited to announce that a firmware update version 210.26 for Inspire 3 has been released to all our members. Some of you might already have this update available. If you installed it, let us know what you think!

We release updates to customers in phases. If you don’t see it, check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.

*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

When are you going to fix the software update 4.28.1 than has turned my brilliant inspire 3 into an expensive pedometer.

Best Answer

Oh I'm so blowing a fuse.. or 2. Update 4.28.2 sneaked itself in and now I've lost all my steps made again and it's STILL not syncing. What kind of BS is this?

And why isn't there a moderator around having the decency to say at least sorry for the inconvenience? And indeed why not go back to the last version that did work?? (4.27)

This update was a real piece of crap.  Auto recognizes my walks 5 minutes into a walk.  Set the delay to something longer, shorter, or just plain ignore?  It still turns on the auto recognize at 5 minutes.  Fun walking around Costco and getting a buzz on the wrist telling me I'm in a walk.  Then in the APP I get a record of the dozen or so walks I've been on in the course of my day.  Who quality checks this stuff before you publish the updates?

---

So for the autostart issue.  I found a third place to turn off autostart, in the device itself.  Go to the walk activity, scroll down a ways and there is an auto toggle.  So to be clear, auto recognize settings for walking are on the web interface, the app interface, and the device interface and they DO NOT synchronize settings.

It is still not working.  7 days.  The note at the top, no longer has the notice of problem.  Samsung a02s.  I have been using a fitbit for maybe 10 years.  Very few problems.  but for this to go on for so long.  Will I get an explanation of the problem or will it be just another glitch.  Very disappointed.

Thank you so much. I didn't realise there was settings when you swipe up. My gps was on for my run but I've toggled it off and back OK and now it seems to be connected.

So now the steps are off as well. Apparently, today I have walked over 10km but I've only taken 6000+ steps. In every hour from 7am to 2pm, I supposedly took around 800 - 900 steps despite the fact that the first hour I was walking the dog for 45 mins whereas the second hour I was eating my breakfast and having a shower and the third hour.I was drinking coffee and reading the newspaper.

And in a 10 min walk this evening, I supposedly walked 1000 steps. So somehow I walked more steps in 10 mins that I did in 45!

[Update] And now this morning, ie the next day, I clocked up 5700 steps in the hour when I was walking the dog. 900 vs 5700. Where is the consistency?

Managed to do 9500 steps today without a single active hour! Of course, the Inspire 3 says that I had 6 active hours but the app says zero…

With the newest firmware update tge traders exercise list cannt be changed via app. I have to go into the more excise list on my tracker and after that it keeps changing the order to the most recent.

Updating the firmware was a mistake. Especially with how the fitbit app is such a disaster.

Side loading a older fitbit app version using the up,to,down app store made my tracker usable.

But it's obviously to much to ask for fitbit to roll back to updates that work and working on fixes at the same time. What managers are getting rewards for being failures? Sho should be getting demoted or fired? It's been far to long in this state

This is the failure of all fitbit updates! Fix it!

My heart rate is showing random high spikes that last for a minute and then revert to normal for no reason

Clearly the latest firmware update was corrupt. Google Fitbit need to fix this and release a revised update. Or re-release ( roll back ) to the previous firmware that worked and issue an update.

it’s been an issue for several months now. Not good enough Google

@LizzyFitbit , would you please give us an update as to when a fix is estimated to be released? It sounds like many of us are willing to hold on and stay with Fitbit ... but if this issue is going to languish, folks should know so they can start looking into other options.

Thanks so much!

I have an Inspire 3 that had not synced with my android phone for over 3 weeks. I periodically (every 2 or 3 days) would try to sync it with my phone again in hopes that maybe they got the software fixed.  Finally, Sunday a week ago (11/3) it synced and gave me the code to pair with my phone. It seems to be working fine with the exception of the zone minutes. If you have not tried to sync lately, I would give it a try. Still have not heard anything from Fitbit. When going to the Help Center in the Fitbit app, it still says that my problem is In Progress, however the yellow bar at the top saying they were working on the problem has now been removed.

Lizzy, do you still have a job? Or are you just AI? Seems like you can't read.

Somewhere, down this string, I posted some comments about how my Fitbit does not work the same before the device update (that is, not the app update). Recently, I got a finger heart rate monitor (one of the kind that also reads blood oxygen) and began using it to verify my Fitbit heart rate. It seems to me that the two devices are mostly in agreement on heart rate. This leads me to believe that my Inspire3, prior to device update, was reading too high for my heart rate. So I thought I was exercising at a higher level than I actually was. That's why Google is silent here as they know the old system was in error. Has anyone else used another device in an attempt to verify their current Fitbit readings?

My updated Inspire 3 works perfectly. It recently gave me loads of high heart rate notifications, which I stupidly ignored (even though my heart rate was locked for 3 days straight at 130 BPM, even while asleep). Went to ER on day 4, diagnosis was Heart Failure Stage 1. I was asymptomatic. Was in hospital about a week. I constantly checked my Fitbit against the Cardiac monitor in the hospital room, the exact same number. Blood oxygen was same reading too as finger monitor. It’s accurate.

For me I'm having this issue but with the app. Like the app isn't recording it right when syncing it but my watch shows it correctly.

Your comment seems incredible to the extent it seems to be a lie. And, if you read other comments, the Fitbit Inspire3 is inaccurate.
