Inspire 3 Losing Track of Walking Map When Exercise Ended

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I start off a walk by using the Fitbit app on my phone to Android track exercise (via Exercise days -> Add exercise -> Start tracking -> Walk), also ending the walk on the Fitbit app on my phone. When I initially finish, the full map of the walk briefly appears, but then instead of the full map I only see approx. the first 0.25 miles!

Sometimes the entire map will become available later - especially if I restart the Inspire 3; other times the map still does not appear. And at times the total distance and total steps also are cut-off (so if for example, I follow a route that I know is 3.5 miles, the app will only map the first 0.25 miles, the mileage will be something else, like 1.65 miles, and the step count for the walk will be short of the normal number of steps for what the 3.5 mile walk would normally be. Strangely, while the walking total for the exercise will be off, the day's total for steps usually does reflect a number that is likely correct. Usually, not always.)

Has anyone else seen this kind of behavior? Have you found a way - short of constantly restarting the Inspire 3 and/or the phone - to have the Inspire track the exercise correctly?)

Thanks for any insights!

Hi, @Sbauer1959 welcome to the community, have you tried starting & ending your walks on your Inspire 3? Before you use this feature review the settings for "Walks" on your Inspire 3. From the clock screen swipe left (or right) to Exercise, swipe up to and touch "Walk". Note the little chevron at the bottom of the screen, swipe up>put the HR zone notifications on or off with the slider>swipe up>ensure GPS slider is on>swipe up check auto start is on>swipe up> check auto stop is off>swipe up set the always-on display is the way you want it. Swipe left or right to return to the clock screen. Next time you go for a walk go to the Exercise - walk & touch the "Start arrow" and when you finish swipe up to pause then finish. Provided the GPS is on and your Phone is with you and paired with the Inspire 3 you should see a map in the Fitbit app for your whole trip.

I hope this helps, please post here again & let us know how you get on.

Cheers
