I updated to the recent firmware (v.63.20001.210.26) just a few days ago, and today (Aug 28) my Inspire 3 has a 1 second timer randomly beginning. I have Button Lock enabled as well as Auto Wake disabled. It is also set to be worn on my wrist. I thought it might have been my sweater sleeve somehow swiping through to the timer, but then I spent a few hours in a tank top and it turned on the timer randomly twice.
As I was typing this on my computer, the Fitbit face just went into the "swipe down" menu even though my hands have been on a keyboard and I was on the clock face menu.
I've had this device for 4 weeks and only encountered this after the firmware update. I will try the "Restart" option, which seems silly because it did that after the firmware update installed, so I don't see how doing it again would fix this.

I have restarted the device and the screen continues to wake when my wrist is flat and stationary. I also watched it change the clock face information, which should only change with a tap, even though:
Button Lock Enabled
Auto Wake Disabled
Always On Disabled
Sleep Mode Enabled
I would like to insert a video of it doing this behaviour but the forum doesn't allow for that. It's if a ghost is fiddling with it. I also tried changing the clock face and wiping any fingerprints off, but it still does this phantom behaviour.
Update:
At 5pm, it was fully charged. By 11:30pm, it was down to 86% when it has been on my wrist or being reset, just from the screen turning itself on multiple times per minute. Clearing user data did not work either.
What has worked, though, is enabling Water Lock. Customer service offered replacement because I'm only 4 weeks into my warranty, which will take weeks to do, but it doesn't make sense that the device is faulty if Water Lock actually stops the screen from lighting up and sensing phantom taps. Something in that setting's code is working properly!
This really seems like a sudden firmware issue.

I have the same problem 😞
will you post here if the replacement device fixes the problem? I’m doubtful it’s a hardware issue - feels like a software problem to me 😞

I’m having a similar issue. The exercise function turns on when I'm doing any kind of movement without me activating it. It didn't do this when I first bought my device. It also started after the firmware update. I've had my device only 4 months.
