I have my Inspire 3 since April 2023, I use it every day and also tracking my swimming in the pool.
Everything was fine until last couple weeks when my Fitbit started to act finish my workouts by itself. Let me explain:
I go to the pool then I start "Exercise: Swim". I click "Start", then I swim and occasionally check how much I have swam via the timer. When I am finished swimming, I double tap to unlock, and select "Finish".
Now, last couple times that I have been in the pool swimming, I check the time on my Fitbit to see that it has unlocked itself and stayed on the page "Return/Finish" and sometimes finish my workout.. It is pretty annoying as this is the main reason why I use Fitbit.. It does not track my swimming anymore basically.....
I have 3 questions:
1. Is there a way to fix this? I checked and do not see any updates missing.
2. Is this a sign that my Fitbit dying?
3. I am very happy of the small design that my Fitbit Inspire 3 has and dont see any other Fitbits that have the same small design. If my Fitbit is dying, I would buy the same one but I am hesitating because since the company was purchased by Google, there haven't been any new Fitbit. Maybe this issue is to make sure that I stop using Fitbit and the new device will have the same issues........ How can I be sure that the new device wont have the same issue????

Hi, @swim34, welcome to the community, May I suggest you try restarting your Inspire 3? From the clock face screen on your Inspire 3 swipe down to & touch "settings">swipe up to the bottom & touch "restart Device"> Restart and try it out to see if it has reverted to the correct behaviour you know. The other alternative is to use the auto-recognize feature How do I track my activity with my Fitbit device? - Fitbit Help Center provides advice & guidance. If you use this feature engage the water lock before entering the water, and upon completion of your swim disengage when clear of the water.
I hope this helps, please post here again & let us know how you get on.
Cheers

I have already ofcourse restarted my Fitbit, the issue still persists.
And no, what you suggest does not solve my problem. If I do water lock and start swimming then I dont see the timer, then my Fitbit is useless...
