Inspire 3, Too many calories burnt and steps

I know there have been similar posts previously but I wanted to get specifics for me since I'm just getting a bit confused about it all.

Basically, I got my inspire 3 on Sunday, and it's claiming that I'm burning a rather high amount of calories for simply walking to and from places, not even as walking exercise. For example, yesterday it sent over 1957 calories correction to myfitnesspal, when the most intensive exercise I did burnt about 550 calories, and I did not walk 13,000 steps as the watch is telling me.

This means it is both overestimating my steps and calories burnt. On the Fitbit app itself it is showing over 4.2k calories burnt, which is not realistic, especially considering I probably walked closer to 5-6k steps only.

I've tried setting the watch to be on my dominant hand despite it not being, to see if that will fix anything, but I haven't gotten out of bed yet and it's already logging about 20 steps.

Any help would be appreciated or I'll have to return and look for another product.

Just to clarify, my height, weight, etc, are all correct. And my BMR is nowhere near 3.7k (since 500 or so was exercise)
