I woke up this morning and did my usual morning routine. I looked at the steps on the app which reported 280 steps. There was no way I'd walked that much in 10 minutes. I then took the watch off.

3 hours later I put the watch back on and looked at the steps on the app and it said 1150!

Hi @swagare2 and @raptert  not sure if you're the same person, but your posts were made about an hour apart and are identical to a word!

Did you look at the Fitbit when you first woke up or after your morning routine? These are wrist based devices and each flick of the wrist can count as a step, plus each movement can add steps, even when you're sleeping. The day begins at midnight, so 280 steps wouldn't be unusual.

Hard to say what you were doing in those three hours, but it seems to be logging the steps. Why not keep an eye on it and see what progresses.
