Inspire 3 - detects Spinning while on the phone

So I'm laying on my couch talking to my sister-in-law on the phone and my Fitbit vibrated.  I looked at it and to my surprise I was apparently taking a spin class!!! 🙃 Unbelievable.  No wonder I don't trust this thing anymore.

@Bfm129 , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.

The Inspire 3 might have recognized your wrist/arm movement as part of a spinning session.

There are 2 ways that this might happen.

a. Over SmartTrack (autorecognition, runs in the background)
B Autostart. - this feature recognize an exercise ( Between these BikeEllipticalRowingRunSpinning, or Walk )  and starts the activity app on your Inspire 3.

To avoid this, and if you are not tracking any spinning training, you can turn the autorecognition off.

To turn SmartTrack off, you'll need to do this in the Fitbit app and then sync the tracker.

  1. From the Today tab JuanFitbit_0-1751497330584.png

in the Fitbit app, tap the Exercise days tile.
  2. Tap the gear icon JuanFitbit_1-1751497330583.png at the top.
  3. Tap the activity you want to adjust.
  4. For those activities that you don't use, we suggest you to put them as ignore.

For Auto Start : ( These changes must be done on the Inspire 3 itself)

  1. Open the Exercise app.
  2. Tap the Bike, Elliptical, Rowing, Run, Spinning, or Walk option (each individually).
  3. Swipe up. Auto Start is turned on by default,  tap to turn it back off. The next time your device detects this workout type, the Exercise app will not automatically open.
