My device has not tracked my sleep data for nearly a week.  How can this be corrected?

Sorry to say that not getting Sleep Stages is probably a device FW or app SW issue that will need to be addressed with a FW and/or SW update to resolve the issue.

I almost always get sleep stages and my wife never does, even if we wear exactly the same Inspire 3 device, so the Sleep algorithm clearly works more reliably for some people than it does for other people.

Hi there, @SpockMom. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Inspire 3 has not tracked your sleep data for the past week. I understand your concern, we're here to help you!

If you're not receiving sleep stages, I recommend considering the following in order to get sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

@Bill_209 Thank you so much for your input, I'm sorry to hear that your wife is not getting her sleep data. By any chance, has she tried the tips and recommendations I've provided above?

@MarreFitbit, yes, my wife has tried all the different suggestions and she has always relied upon the Inspire 3 to automatically determine when sleep starts.  Her device works just fine when I wear it, so I have no idea why that is happening.

I should add that my wife's HR curve is continuous day and night, so the device is having no problem measuring her heart rate.
