Inspire 3 displays shows “Clipped on body” all the time

I just switched from Inspire 2 to Inspire 3 today.  I only use my Inspire as a clip on and that works for my needs.  I got the Inspire 3 all setup and selected that I would use it as a clip on, now I have a scrolling message above the clock face that reads “clipped on body” in blue text.  Needless to say this is very annoying.  I have tried another face and still have this scrolling text.  Does anyone know how to remove this, otherwise I’ll be returning this Fitbit. This is just silly that they would think I need a scrolling message above my clock face.

Hi there, @Ribbonpink. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums.

I really appreciate your comment and feedback about this feature on your Inspire 3. As you mentioned above, this will happen with all clock faces since previously users have issues tracking their metrics while their devices were on "Clip mode". They didn't know when it was on or off until they check that information on the settings.

Sorry you feel this way about this option, feel free to post your request in our Feature Suggestions board. That way other users can comment and vote on the idea to show their support. You can read the FAQ to better understand how that board works.

Just switched from a Zip that I loved since it's no longer supported and find this feature very annoying!! Like you, I just want a clip on that tracks my steps! I don't need to be continuously reminded that I have it clipped on. Why aren't wrist wearers made to see a scrolling message that they're wearing it on their wrists???

I agree just remove the scrolling and give us the option of having it OFF
or on! I tested some of the other faces as suggested by others and found
out that some of the stats that should be shown on the clock face are
actually being blocked by the scrolling. Not a happy customer!!!

So we have to lose limited display space because other people can’t figure out their device?

Its very obnoxious to have to constantly look at blue scrolling text in Clip mode. I’m now missing my date because of it.

Look…. It replaces my date with stupid scrolling text. It’s absurd I can’t turn it off.

@YojanaFitbit do you want me to submit my own post or keep responding on here?

The features message board you linked doesn’t work. Who should I tell about this?

I bought the Inspire 3 specifically because it’s the only Fitbit I can use in clip mode which is important to me working in health care. I absolutely cannot use it with a stupid scrolling text constantly running so I will be returning my device if it really can’t be turned off.

I purchased the Inspire 3 to use in clip mode only.  I have been using the Inspire 3 since October 2022 and don't appreciate the clipped on scrolling and now the battery barely last for a week.  Unfortunately, I have reverted back to my Inspire 2 which has longer battery life and NO CLIPPED-ON SCROLLING!  Your testing people really need to wear a Fitbit clipped on for a couple of weeks and see what they think of having "clipped on" scrolling and features missing such as the date.  Maybe one day this scrolling will be eliminated, so we can have a functional Fitbit.
