After spending way too much time with Fitbit and Google tech supports and countless hours trying to find a work-around, we have concluded that Inspire 3 cannot be used with a Google account of a supervised family member in Google Family Link. Per Fitbit tech support, "Only ACE watches work with Google accounts that are being supervised." Our daughter is 13. Since she turned 13, she has still been allowing us to supervise her Google account in Family Link. We have a never had a problem with any apps...until we tried to install her new Inspire 3 with the Fitbit app. No matter what we try--including the recommendations from Fitbit and Google--we get the same error message: "Can't use Fitbit with this Google account. This could be because you're using a Google Workspace account, or because your account is supervised." Only when I UNsupervise her account can she log into Fitbit with an Inspire 3. But as long as she's supervised, her only option is to log in with an ACE watch. What if she was 16 and still supervised? Would she still have to settle for a child's ACE watch? I am not going to downgrade my child's watch (a Christmas gift) to a kindergarten child's, multi-colored ACE watch only to have to upgrade her in a few years when we no longer supervise her Google account. I will be looking for another watch brand. Also, Fitbit tech support told me that it will take 30 days for them to delete my data in their system--MY data which I have requested to be deleted since I will no longer have a Fitbit watch as of tomorrow.
