Inspire 3 draining battery

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve had the Inspire 3 for 8 months and I’ve loved it, but the battery seems to be bad. Granted I did leave it on the charger for too long once, but I just went from having to charge it once a week to twice a week. But yesterday I charged it fully, then it was at 30% by the late morning and it completely died again the same day 🤷🏻‍:female_sign: has anyone seen this before or know if there’s some kind of recall on Inspire 3’s for battery reasons?

I have noticed the same. Usually charge it once a week then 2-3 Times a week over night. One thing I did around the same time was change too Google account from fitbit. Don`t know if it is related But very suspicios.

Have you solved your battery issue?

My Inspire 3 is about 21 months old.  I was still getting about 5 days on a charge with virtually everything minimal or turned off - I prefer getting info from the app (and wish they made a faceless model like the Amazon Halo, which was great).  Within the last few weeks, it seemed to start needing charges more frequently.  Resetting it didn't help.  In the last week, I confirmed it was using about 40% charge per day and needing to be charged about every 2 days.  Tonight I monitored the charging and noticed it seemed to stop at 54%.  I fiddled with the fit on the charger, wiped the contacts with rubbing alcohol, reset it both off and on the charger, and it finally moved up to 55%.  Walked back to the living room and checked the app on my phone, but it already showed it at 100%.  I went back to the Fitbit and it showed 100%, as well.  I think the problem mine started having recently is that it's thinking it is fully charged well before it gets to 100%.  It seemed to go from 73% charged to 100% charged unnaturally fast one time in the last couple of weeks, so that should have been a sign.  Now, 55% charged is the new 100% charged, so it makes sense I'm getting about half the time I was getting just a month or so ago from a 'full' charge.  Just restarting it on the charger is using 4% of the battery.  If it's losing about 10% of it's maximum battery storage per week at this point, it won't last long.  Unless there is some other way to reset it or a firmware fix, I'm probably going to have to get another one or try something else.  Maybe this is normal for battery failure, but I'm surprised how quickly it is declining.

Too bad to hear this. I spend a whole weekend to think about pros and cons about fitness trackers and decided against expensive smartwatches because of the small battery and therefore short lifetime of these devices that don't have swappable batteries, alas. So I decided to go for a cheaper throw away model and I bought the Inspire 3. But I thought this device would last longer than 2 years if I switch off the screen almost all the time (no auto wake up) because I use smartphone apps connected to HealthConnect in my Android phone. Can other people share their long term experience with the Inspire 3 concerning battery health (SoH)?
