I've had over 5 Fitbits over the years. None have been so inaccurate in counting steps as this new Inspire 3. On my runs it very often will only count about 60% of steps. Sometimes it gets close to accurate but it usually way undercounts. I am a regular runner with a pace of 8:05 to 8:20 min/mile. I just did a 4 mile run and the inspire said I ran 2.3 miles with a 15:42 min/mile pace. When I take my iphone on the run, and the Inspire uses it's GPS, it gets the distance correctly. Being off this much can't be just stride length, how I am wearing it, etc. I've never had this problem before.
Once I wore my old Charge HR 2 on the same wrist as the new Inspire for a full day that included a run. They agreed on total steps within 1%. The problem is not a gradual difference. Sometimes it is 100% right and other times it is 40% off. I can't keep using the Charge HR 2 because the part holding the straps broke off. Also the Charge HR does not adjust display brightness so I can barely read it in outside lighting..
Is this Inspire 3 just a lemon and I could try another one?
