Inspire 3 is not correctly recognizing or recording exercise and heart rate.

My fitbit inspire hr died a few weeks ago - had since 2021. Just completely turned off and wouldn't charge. I really liked the tracking options so bought an inspire 3. This is terrible! It doesn't auto track my exercise correctly, heartrate is all over the place. Is this a software glitch? Ive had inspires since 2018 and now this "newer" update makes the device unreliable. Can it be fixed?

Good to see you around @GLE33.

Thank you for sharing with me this situation with your Inspire 3.

I'm not sure if you are still having this difficulty with your device. Please make sure that it's going to track heart rate correctly.

Try to troubleshoot by following the steps listed below:

  • Tighten the band so that it doesn’t slip on your wrist. For more information, see How do I track heart rate with my Fitbit device?
  • Heart-rate tracking may not work with certain accessory bands, especially if they’re loose fitting. For best results, use the band that came with your device.
  • Use the Exercise app to record GPS data for your workout. If you use MobileTrack in the Fitbit app, your heart rate might not appear on your device. For more information, see How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?
  • If you tried the other steps and don’t see your heart rate, restart your device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
