When I walk my fitbit accurately tracks distance, but when I run the fitbit is off by .5miles. That is alot of lost distance. How do I calibrate the inspire 3 fitbit?

Hi @kandtgliders there is no calibration. To learn more on how it actually does track things - click to read

If you have put your step length into the app, that's what the Fitbit uses to calculate distance. To get an accurate distance number, you have to carry your phone with you with the Fitbit connected to the phone GPS and it set to run in background and use cellular data. If you always run or walk the same route, you only need to do it once. The other method is to measure your route using Google Earth or Google Maps, then convert it to inches and divide by the number of steps and put that number in the Fitbit app.
I have also discovered that while walking (but not running), the step count can vary quite a bit depending on how you swing your arms. For me at least, if I'm swinging my arm from the shoulder with very little elbow flex, the Fitbit undercounts my steps by 5-8%. If I'm swinging from my elbow, the step count is more accurate and pretty consistent.
