My Inspire 3 Fitbit isn't tracking the distance I'm taking in miles no matter how far or long I walk. I tried testing it several times both inside and outside but the miles counter doesn't go up from 0.00 miles at all while wearing it.
I've tried resetting the Fitbit several times by pressing both buttons at the same while it's charged. I've looked through all the settings to see if there is an option for GPS that's been turned off but can't find one. I've made sure that both Bluetooth and location is turned on through my phone and even tried unpairing and re-pairing again. I've even uninstalled the app and un-synced it from one phone to then re-synced it to another. The distance counter still will not increase, despite it saying that GPS is connected across the screen.
I got the Fitbit back in March as part of a study for tracking people's health and have used it every day since then. It's connected through the Evidation app as part of the study, but no other app other than the office one has an effect on the Fitbit. It's only 5 months old, and nothing else hasn't stopped functioning. The screen isn't broken or waterlogged, but that is the only part not working. The green light underneath is on and entering else is tracking like step count, heartbeat and even oxygen level, but nothing for distance.
Is there something else that can be done or is the GPS just permanently damaged?

@MarreFitbit There are many, many reports from many users about this problem. It doesn't matter what model you use or if you use Android/iOS. It looks and acts like a bug in the automatic stride length.
@Cath-chris Please try the following workaround, because it helped some users. Please tap on your profile picture/gear icon in the upper right of your Fitbit app, then Exercise. Look for the Stride Length setting. The default setting is automatic. Toggle it off.

Hi there, @Cath-chris. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Inspire 3 is not tracking your distance. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
While reading your post I was wondering if the distance is missing only on your Inspire 3 or it's also missing on the Fitbit app (after making sure you've synced)? If the distance is just missing on your Inspire 3, try to change your clock face.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

I changed my clock face a little over a week ago, but the problem shows up everywhere in the app too, so that doesn't seem to be the problem.

Thank you, that seemed to do the trick.
