I have multiple fitbits that track sleep. I use this most to track sleep. Just bought a new Inspire 3 and it is not properly tracking sleep. It skips the initial 1 - 3 hours. I have not had this with other Fitbit’s. I will try tightening it, but it is not loose. Any other tips or is this a faulty device? Others with similar issues and a fix?

Hi there, @ShepherdGirl. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Inspire 3 is not tracking your sleep times accurately despite the steps you've already tried. I will do my best to help you with this!
Have you tried restarting your Inspire 3? If not yet, please see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
As you may know, your time asleep is calculated by subtracting your time spent awake and restless from your overall tracked sleep time. For example, if you slept 8 hours but woke up 2 times for 15 minutes each, your time asleep would be 7 hr 30 min.
To learn more about your time asleep in sleep stages, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?
Nevertheless, you can set your Fitbit device to track sleep in a sensitive mode. For information about how this setting works, see What's the difference between the normal and sensitive sleep setting?
If necessary, you can edit your sleep logs. For instructions, see How do I edit or delete sleep logs in the Fitbit app?
