Inspire 3 is not tracking my steps while running

In the last 3-6 months, I will warm up walking and check my pace.  It all seems accurate but as soon as I start running my inspire 3 increases my pace per mile and starts tracking my pace in the mid to high 20’s (so 25/27 minutes per mile).  I run a three mile loop and it tells me I have only gone 1 mile.  But if I walk the three miles it has no problem.   It didn’t do this prior.
I have tried resetting, etc. Any ideas would be great!

Hi there, @SDuff07. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Inspire 3 and taking the time to troubleshoot it before reaching out.

Please note when you track an activity with GPS, your device calculates your distance using GPS data rather than steps. If you begin moving before you get a GPS signal, your device calculates distance using your steps until GPS connects.

For more information about GPS, see: How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?

Thank you for the response! I have tried everything to connect the GPS and it will only work once in a blue moon.  Never consistently.
