I just updated my inspre 3 today and my heartrate has been measuring between 160 and 200 the whole time. When I'm sitting it will go as high as 205. I have not xhanged placement on my wrist and auto wake is not working as normal either even though the function is selected

Hi there, @Beeper123. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Inspire 3 stopped tracking your heart rate accurately after the update. I understand where your concern is coming from, I will do my best to help you with this!

Keep in mind that s
everal factors can affect heart rate, including air temperature, stress level, alcohol or caffeine intake, immune response to illness, and medication use (source).

As a first approach, I'd recommend restarting your Inspire 3. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the above doesn't help, I'd suggest resetting the heart rate settings by following the steps below:

  • Switch the Heart Rate settings from On to Off and manually sync your watch. To switch the heart rate settings on your Inspire 3, from the main screen of your Fitbit device, open the Settings app > Heart Rate > tap to turn the setting OFF.
  • Once it's done, manually sync your Inspire 3. To do so, open the Fitbit app, tap on the Account icon, tap on your Fitbit device's image and tap on "Sync Now"
  • Next, switch it from Off to On and manually sync your Inspire 3 once again.
  • Once it's done, restart your Inspire 3.
  • Next, confirm that your tracker is snug on your wrist (the lights shouldn't be visible). We also recommend when you're not exercising, wear the tracker just above the wrist bone.

Thank you for your help. I tried resetting the heart rate and the issue persists. For some reason the fitbit continues to measure that my heart rate is around 180 bpm all day and the auto wake function and step counters are not working. Is there a way to reset to factory settings and uninstall all updates to the device?
