I've bought an inspire 3 and am looking for help in regards to why it is tracking movements/steps when completely still and how I can rectify this as it's super annoying and disheartening. Tried looking for the three dots and mobile track on my fitbit app, which I can't find...please help! I just want my steps to say zero when they should be.

Hi there, @xMandyx. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Inspire 3 is tracking steps even when you're still. I understand your concern and how you must be feeling, I will do my best to help you with this!
Before we can work on this together, verify whether MobileTrack is connected. To do so, in the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > then tap Devices. In this section you'll see your Inspire 3 and below your phone (in case MobileTrack is indeed connected). For instructions on how to remove a device, see this help article.
MobileTrack is a function that allows you to track basic information using your phone's sensors when a Fitbit device isn't nearby. If this is correct and there was a fan or something buzzing nearby, you might get extra steps as this function might think you're exercising.
Also, please make sure that your Inspire 3 is accurately tracking your steps, confirm the following are correct in the Fitbit app:
Keep in mind the algorithm is designed to look for intensity and motion patterns that are most indicative of people walking and running. When working at a desk, cooking, or performing other activities with arm movements, a device on your wrist may add some steps. When you’re doing activities that involve arm movement, such as working or cooking, you often walk a few steps in-between stationary periods as well, so the device tries to give you credit for those steps. For most customers, the number of extra steps added by arm-based movement isn’t significant when compared to your overall stats.
On the other hand, I was wondering if you're wearing your Inspire 3 while sleeping or you take it off? If you remove your Inspire 3 (or any other Fitbit device) and lay it face up on a reflective surface it may detect the flashing LED and produce "ghost" data, sometimes steps or HR. Try lying it face down (and on a non-reflective vibration-free surface).
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

Hey there!
Thank you for your prompt response.
I can't seem to find the option or anything that has mobile tracking. I don't wear my fitbit when I sleep.
