My Inspire 3, which is only two months old, just stopped checking/reporting my HR and I assume everything else.
This is my second Fitbit device that has died. Needless to say I’m frustrated and beyond disappointed.
I tried restarting it multiple times to no avail. I’m just going to toss it in the trash and never again deal with any Fitbit devices. I’m done.

Make sure you didn't accidentally get it into clip mode setting. That turns off heart rate checking.

The clip mode setting, while an excellent idea for the possibility of it being responsible for my issue, is de facto not my issue. But thanks for sharing.
