Inspire 3 lost steps before midnight

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Last night, my Fitbit Inspire 3 registered a step count of 25,966. Just before midnight, it changed to 1, 625. I've done everything I can to get my data back. All my other days are correct, including today (so far). I've restarted the app on my phone, logged out/logged back in, hard started the Fitbit. Everything I can find to do I've done. What is going on? I can't have this. I've been tracking my steps since 2014 and I can't mess that up. I have almost 100 million steps tracked since March of 2014. I just bought this Fitbit this past October and it's been working great except last night. Please help.  I'm also not getting my weekly notifications although the email address is correct. Darrell

Hi there, @derbal1960. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear about your lost steps. I understand how you must be feeling and how important is to you to get your data accurately, I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, I'd recommend making sure that your Inspire 3 and Fitbit app are up-to-date.

Please note that you can manually log your steps, for more information, see How to add, edit, or delete Fitbit data & activities

Regarding the weekly notifications you mentioned, do you mean the weekly report? Have you checked that you have this notification still enabled? To do so, please tap on you profile picture in the upper right of your Fitbit app, then Fitbit settings. Tap on Email notifications. The toggle for Weekly summary is in the other section.

Thank you for replying! 🙂 Made my day. Yes, I have had that option checked
for quite some time and I quit getting the reports some time ago. It's the
selection between "Reseach invitation" and "News and updates." I will make
sure my Firbit app is up to date. Thank you for your help. As of today, I
still haven't gotten a weekly report. I'll let you know my progress. Thanks
again. Darrell

Just upgraded the firmware. I thought it was done, but I didn't have my Fitbit charging the last time I tried. Update is complete and I restarted my Fitbit. Numbers are still not there. What I find strange is, my badge for 25,000 steps says "Last time achieved" and it lists the day in question. So the numbers are there. I just can't get to them. Thank you again for replying, and for your help. Darrell
