Hi
When I 'Track' to start an exercise from the Fitbit app on the phone, like walk (see screenshot) and after finishing the walk, I see the Walk in Fitbit app with map details, but I do NOT see any heart rate info.
Will 'Tracking' an exercise from the phone NOT use heart rate info from the device?? Is this by design?
Note, if I START a walk using the DEVICE (inspire 3) itself, then I DO see the heart rate info. So, clearly, device is connected to phone, and heart rate sensors are working.
Here is screenshot of the phone where I 'track' an exercise.

@LZeeW Thank you for your help.
@garmmie , A warm welcome to the Community ! Thank you for the attached picture.
Our friend LZeeW already describe the feature MobileRun.
Just wanted to jump in and add some infos.
MobileRun, is a feature, that uses the data recorded by your phone. This can be used, in case you don't wear your Fitbit during a walk, run or hike. (Maybe your Fitbit isn't finished charging or you forgot to wear it. )
As the data is recorded with your phone, no heart rate will not be recorded.
This feature had a bug, that used the hear rate data recorded by a tracked and mixed it with the data on your phone.
The bug was corrected a few app updates ago.
How you described it, is how it is expected to work.
I found this feature suggestion. You might have a look and vote for it if you want to support the idea.

Hello @garmmie and welcome to the Community. When you use the mobile app to track a GPS activity, you are using a feature Fitbit calls MobileRun. This is an older feature. I used it with my One and my Charge HR. It used to show heart rate. But that stopped working a few years ago. I think Fitbit chose not to fix it. The only options are walk, run and hike and that’s outdated.

Thank you Laurie for the response. It is important to me that I should be able to start an exercise from the phone too. Is above true for *all* fitbit devices?

@garmmie Yes. I think a good way to describes it is that there are "device" features and "app" features. MobileRun is an app feature. So it is the same for your Inspire 3 as my Sense 2. I used MobileRun for running after I got Fitbits with an Exercise app. I like the voice cues. I noticed you have voice cues off. Would you mind sharing why you need to start your walk from the phone? I might have an idea or two for you.

Hi Laurie,
I prefer to start a walk from the phone, simply because, it is easier to use the larger screen on the phone, compared to the small screen on the device (inspire 3).

@garmmie I'm sorry, but I don't have any workaround for you. I understand your reason. I wish I could help.
