Inspire 3 not connecting to GPS

I have been tracking my walk with my Inspire 3 and GPS  from  my iPhone. I haven’t had any issues until today. Usually it shows connected right away and the inspire shows a white triangle. Today in my walk the inspire said “ GPS signal not detected” and the inspire showed a red outlined triangle. I’m not sure if the issue is on my phone, my Fitbit or something outside. Any ideas?

Hello
It seems to be working fine. I find that I need to follow these steps. I’m using an iphone not sure if this would work for Android.
1. On my iPhone settings under Fitbit I always make sure that ALWAYS is checked for access
2. I always make sure my phone app has been synced.
3. I also make sure my phone app is opened.
4. On my fit bit device I go to the exercise, walk. I make sure that the gps is turned on. (In settings of the walk)
Hope this helps. I know the frustration.
I’m not sure if I need all these steps but it seems to work now.

@KatMa ,schön dich hier erneut zu sehen. Vielen Dank für deine Nachricht.

The Inspire 3 uses connected GPS to record the route.

This means it will use your phone's GPS connection to record the route.

You can try the following to improve the connection.

Thank you for responding but I have tried and read those articles.  Sometimes I get connected to GPS and sometimes not. Up to two days ago I was having no issues with connecting. Today it didn’t connect. I was just wondering if there is a reason for the intermittent connection.

Have you tried a restart of the phone or Inspire 3.

I have tried the phone but not the Inspire. It seems that this problem I’m having is intermittent. It works fine one day the next it doesn’t. Yesterday it only charted my walk when I got near to my house and that was it. Even though my walks are in the same general area. It’s frustrating because sometimes it works through my whole walk and sometimes not at all. Not sure what the trick is . Thanks for responding

Are you annually starring the walk mode, and waiting for confirmation of a gps lock?

Or depending on the auto walk detect, which will not be turned on at the beginning of the walk

I go to the Exercise App on my inspire and select walk. I make sure the gps is selected. Yesterday it actually worked. But other times it doesn’t work.

Bit late to the party here, but did you find a solution to this? Have exactly the same issue, albeit on an Android phone

Thanks for the advice. Since I sent this, it seems to working! Well for at least three days anyway, which by far the longest it's worked without losing the signal. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app for what felt the upteenth time, and it seems to now be happy. So fingers crossed. I think next time I'll buy a watch with GPS in it!

Mine usually connects but today it didn't.  I stopped my walk after about 15 minutes and tried again but still no connection.  Can't remember the last time it wouldn't connect.  All the settings were correct.  Maybe it will work next time.  At least it was a known route and I'm mostly interested in step count and heart rate.
