Hope someone can help. I went for a run today and my average pace was suddenly 9.3 minutes per kilometer when it is usually 6.2 minutes per kilometer. I ran the same route in the same time, (no GPS) but today it recorded far fewer steps and kilometers as normal. Was there some kind of update recently that may have affected the pace function? It has been very consistent and reliable for months, up until today. Thanks in advance.

@Odyssey13 , Thank you for the heads up.
@NIC108 , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.
According to your last message there were fewer steps recognized, that could make the difference on the distance recorded and the pace.
But on the first one the steps count were lower but the distance remained the same.
Have you tried, setting your stride length manually? If not try doing it so: Can I change my stride length in my Fitbit account?
And using the Inspire 3, higher or lower the wrist during runs, to see if the step recognition gets better?

Hi, I posted a week ago but did not get a reply. Someone reported my post I am not sure why? Since March 21 my Inspire 3 is completely wrong on my running pace, sometimes even showing a pace while running that is slower than my casual walking speed! This in turn has affected the number of steps counted and the distance I ran.
Exact same route and time 54 minutes. Before March 21: pace was 6.3, distance 9km and ~ 9,500 steps.
After March 21: pace is between 9.4 and 10.4, distance reported only 5.3km and steps only ~6,900 steps.
Can someone help? This is extremely frustrating. Thanks.

Hi @NIC108 I found your other post and if it had been reported by someone, it wouldn't still be on the forums. I've merged the two and have asked a Fitbit Moderator to stop by to address this with you.

@JuanFitbit thanks for your welcome and reply. On all runs since March 21, Inspire 3 has reported a much slower pace, ~2500 fewer steps, and ~3km+ less distance. I run the same route each time, and finish in the same time as always, but numbers have changed drastically since March 21. My walking steps and distance remain accurate. I have tried restarting the Fitbit. I will try re-setting my stride length manually as well as wearing it higher or lower during runs. It just seems odd that after months of consistency it changed one day. I'll report back, thank you!

Hi @JuanFitbit . I wanted to thank you for your advice above. I wore the Inspire 3 higher and tighter on my wrist during today's run and everything is back to normal. Pace, distance, steps are all on par with my usual. I suspect it may have been a bit loose on my wrist and not making constant contact during runs. This explains why walking stats remained normal but running would jiggle the Fitbit more and cause disruption to readings.
Thanks again!

I'm glad that everything is working fine again, that the info was helpful and only the tightness and position were causing this.
