Inspire 3 "Do not disturb" still vibrates for milestones

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I use my Inspire 3 to track my activity, but I do not want notifications or goal celebrations. I do not want it to vibrate, ever.

I have DnD turned on. The User's Manual says "When the do not disturb setting is on, notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders to move don't cause the tracker to vibrate or the screen to turn on."

This is apparently not true, because it still vibrates for certain milestones, such as reaching 10,000 steps. How do I get "Do not Disturb" to actually not disturb?

Hi, @craigcx, welcome to the community. In the Fitbit app on your phone "today" screen touch your icon in the top left corner>Inspire 3 tile>notifications>Always vibrate, ensure the slider is in the off position.

I hope this helps.

Hi @Gr4ndp4 , thanks for the response. When I log in to fitbit.com, I am shown the Dashboard screen. It has several tiles. In the upper left corner is an icon that looks like this:

When I click on that, it does not give me an "Inspire 3 tile" option or show any tiles at all. It shows this:

So all I can guess is I'm not selecting the icon you recommend.

If I click on the gear on the top right instead of top left, then I can select Settings, and then Notifications. But there is no "Always Vibrate" option on that notifications page.

Can you give me a bit more guidance on exactly where to click?

Hi, @craigcx, you need to open the Fitbit app on your phone.

Yep - that makes sense :-). I didn't even have notifications enabled. But when I turned them on, "Always vibrate" was already off.

But more importantly, I wanted to reiterate that this vibrating was not for notifications from the phone. It was for celebrations like 10,000 steps, which occur totally within the Fitbit. I don't understand why DnD doesn't turn those vibrations off.

Hi, @craigcx, thanks for the feedback, I do not have this issue so I assume it's something you have on your settings. If you are getting a "Celebration" for achieving a goal then these can be turned off. From your "Today" screen touch your Icon in the top left corner>notifications>step goal milestones put the slider into the off position> Exercise goal milestones, put the slider into the off position.

I hope this is helpful but if you are still stuck please post here again.

Cheers
