Inspire 3 said waterproof to 50'.  HOW?  We got a pool 4' deep & it turned black-got it back 3 days.  Went to an aqua zumba class & was told you have to turn on the lock, but mine didn't work like her fitbit.  Can anyone tell me what to do with an Inspire 3 to lock it for water before I get in our pool this year, then how to unlock it, and why I'd need to unlock it from being waterproof?
TIA!!!

Hi @DreamGirl643  check out the article on it here: click to read. Also, be sure to wipe off your device after getting it wet.

It's water resistant which is not the same as waterproof.

Hi, @DreamGirl643, did you make progress engaging the waterlock? I find the waterlock icon needs quite a hearty thump (I use the side of my thumb). Once it's locked, you'll see the top line of the clock display tells you "Water locked, double tap to turn off" If you are having trouble setting it up with icons greyed out, make sure sleep mode & DND modes are off in the Inspire 3 settings.

I hope this helps. still stuck? Please post here again.

Cheers

@DreamGirl643   These experts are forgetting about what water lock does and does not do.  Water lock disables the touch screen.  It prevents accidental taps and swipes while you are in the water.  That’s it.  It has nothing to do with water resistance.

Exposure to soaps, lotions, and so on can weaken the seals.
