Inspire 3 screen always super bright

My fitbit no longer reacts to environment lighting and the brighness settings on the watch have no effect. Is this the ambient light sensor and can it be fixed?

I think this brightness issue is also causing the battery to drain a lot faster than it had been

I'm facing a similar issue - screen much brighter than it used to be and the brightess setting has no effect at all.

I'm having the same issue.  Cannot change brightness, and battery is draining daily.  Tried multiple restarts and changing other settings - unable to resolve.
