Inspire 3 - sleep stages

Unable to get sleep details - says 4 hrs restless out of 8. This is not accurate- rarely once a week gives details of sleep which makes sense. Does not give Heart rate variability graph during sleep- saturation variability, Hr variability. Details of sleep stages are all important - if I wear Fitbit in sleep - it does not do this & google- Fitbit should provide this - should not ask for premier member ship for basic health important information for the user

@Avi51 , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message and information.

The following conditions can prevent sleep phase recording:

- You record your sleep using the app instead of the tracker's automatic sleep detection.
- The tracker's battery is almost empty when you go to bed (below 25%). This prevents the pulse from being recorded regularly.
- You use the metal bracelet while sleeping
- You sleep less than 3 hours.
- The bracelet is too loose or too tight on the wrist. You should be able to put your index finger between the bracelet and your arm without much resistance so that your pulse is recorded regularly and sleep phases can be recognized.

Hi there, how do I make sure my Fitbit is auto recording my sleep.  I just stopped doing it one day. It also stopped recoding when I would exercise with intensity.  I would however record my daily steps.

@tyoung2671 , A warm welcome to the Community ! Thank you for your message.

After some time of inactivity and depending on your heart rate baseline,  the Inspire 3 will recognize automatically that you are sleeping.
There is nothing shown on the display for it. Just wear the tracker when you go to bed.

Regarding the recording of intensive activities: Do you mean, that the activity is not longer autorecognized?

What do you mean with this sentence? " I would however record my daily steps."

Humm, isn't there an option on the mobile app, in the "Today" page, below list of things where you see the sleep activity option?

You just click the "+" sign where it will then give you 2 choices: 1) add a period of sleeping  2) Start to sleep right away.  Choosing option #2 changes the screen with a picture of the moon, showing how many minutes it was activated AND display an option saying you are now awake.

This is how I have  been proceding.  I am trying to wear it for a full week and activating the sleep recordin this way.  So far, the 2nd day seams accurate but 1st and 3rd day have erronous data.  If after a full week sleep recording is still faulty, I will never use it again.  I bought this Inspire 3 because of this option ....

@Browser-Ice Thank you for your message.

In the Fitbit app on the dashboard tap on the Moon  (with a "Z" at the side). There you can see the sleep records.

Just wanted to add something to what you mentioned :"You just click the "+" sign where it will then give you 2 choices: 1) add a period of sleeping  2) Start to sleep right away. "

If you use the 2nd choice ( "2) Start to sleep right away. ") you won't get the sleep stages shown. You need just to let your Fitbit autorecognize the sleep to get the sleep stages.
