Inspire 3 stopped receiving notifications from my Android phone

Notifications get sent to my Inspire 3 for a while but then stop. When I open the Fitbit app and go to the notification settings, there is a red alert box saying "Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker."

I can go to my Android (Android version 14, Xiaomi Redmi 12C mobile) battery settings and select the Fitbit app. It says "No restrictions, Battery saver doesn't restrict app's activity". When I then go on Force Stop and then start the Fitbit app again (sometimes I have to try this more than once), the notifications work again for some time.

I have updated the Inspire 3 Firmware (now version 63.20001.214.24), restarted my phone, restarted the Inspire 3, cleared all Fitbit application data, unpaired the Bluetooth device, but notifications are still unreliable. I also have given the Fitbit app all the permissions it requests. Does anybody know a fix? Clockface is "Aura" if that matters.

Hi, @wedesoft I have been using Fitbits with Android phones for a number of years now, although I have not tried the Xiaomi.  I know that there have always been some issues with connecting to those phones and some residual issues may remain.

Just FYI for myself when I find that my notifications have stopped the simplest and quickest way to restore them is to go to the Fitbit app on your phone, click on the icon top left (watch and smartphone) click on your device (Inspire 3), select notifications and then click on the 3 vertical dots top right and choose “Send a text call notification”.  That should restart notifications if they have stopped.

If you don’t get a test notification then check your settings for notifications but also confirm that your Fitbit is not in do not disturb mode.  You can find this in the settings menu on your Inspire 3 but if it is in DND mode you will also see appearing on the Fitbit Inspire 3 screen a minus sign in a white circle.  That should alert you to check the DND settings.  With DND turned on your notifications will be suppressed.

Sense, Charge 5, Inspire 2; iOS and Android

Hi, @Julia_G . Thanks for the response.

"Send a Test Call Notification" does send a notification but does not seem to restore the notification service. I haven't tried it multiple times though.
