I have gone for several swims now where I start the swim tracking, and then the Fitbit seems to get stuck and I can’t get the screen to change to stop the clock when I’m done with my swim. It starts working again eventually, and when I sync with my phone it shows the distance I swam but also shows that I was swimming for hours longer than I actually swam, because that’s how long it takes the Fitbit to start working again. At first I thought maybe the water was too cold, but wetsuit season is now over and it’s still not working.

Hi, @CC5557 , I think your issue may be that you are having difficulty turning off the “water lock” on your Fitbit, and therefore you are not able to turn off/ cancel your swim session and also not abee to operate your Fitbit normally,
Many people think that the “water lock” makes it extra water proof by somehow locking out the water. That is incorrect. The water lock is to prevent water hitting the screen and activating it, which could cause premature ending of your swim session.
When the water lock is on, you really have to smack the screen hard to turn off the lock. After that the Fitbit should return to normal functions.
