After snorkeling for a period of time, my fit bit has a bright non stop green light on back. Needless to say, it won’t hold a charge. Help

Hi, @Pokey88 , the bright green light is important, because it is one of the sensors, but it should be flashing rather than continuously on. If this issue first arose after snorkeling, it is possible that your Fitbit has got some moisture inside. In that case the best advice is to dry it off first. I would recommend putting it in a bag of uncooked rice for 48-72 hours. The uncooked rice should help to absorb any moisture.
Once it has had a chance to thoroughly dry, then plug it in to give it a good charge for a couple of hours and then give it a restart . Hopefully that will get everything going again and you won’t need any further advice, but if you do, please do post again. There will be further steps you can take which may also help.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes!
And moving forward, although your Fitbit is designed to be water resistant up to 50 metres, this is always classified as water “resistant” rather than water “proof”. Water is an incredibly strong force that kind find its way in to any vulnerability. The water resistance coating on your Fitbit can be worn down simply by age, but also sun creams and other creams and washes that it could be exposed to can also weaken or break the water resistance barrier. Having said that, if the water resistance on you Fitbit does fail within the guarantee period (1 year in most jurisdictions) then do, please, get in touch with Fitbit Customer Service on Contact.Fitbit.com to discuss you options under the limited warranty.
