Hi, @Wykat11 , it sounds like you are trying to pair your Inspire 3 using the Bluetooth settings on your phone.  This won’t work!  The message you are getting is meant to let you know that you can only pair via the Fitbit app.  So please navigate away from the Bluetooth settings on your phone and go to your Fitbit app and log in if you aren’t logged in already.  You should receive a message asking you if you want to pair your Inspire 3 with your phone.  Confirm that you do and follow the on screen instructions.

I hope this helps.  Welcome to the forums!

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Wykat11!

Please make sure your phone is running Android 9 or later to meet Fitbit's current system requirements. For additional tips on solving issues with Android phones you might want to have a closer look here:

That doesn't work for me.

1. disconnected bluetooth.

2. logged in via app. fingerprint validation worked. then asked me to login using google. did that with my gmail account at a google login screen. Responded to me with "that google account already exists on this device" and then waits for me to re-attempt the login.
