My Inspire 3 was recommended as good for swimming tracking. It is quite useless….I have been using it for a month now. It has never once counted lengths properly, usually under-recording by 5-7 lengths (always an odd number?) and the calorie calculations are laughable. Today I swam 100 lengths in a 25 metre pool, time 70 mins…. It undercounted by 7, and my calorie count was 93. I would burn more sitting in an armchair!! All the settings are correct on the device and my account. What a waste of money…

Hi, @Trill63 , welcome to the community, I use an Inspire 3 to track swimming daily, On Saturday I did 100 lengths (in 62 minutes) - confirmed by another device (it counted 2 short) and burned 501 calories ( a similar burn on the other device) This morning I had a correct 150 lengths (in 108 minutes) & 759 calorie burn. Regardless of the device you use minor length Misscounts do occur - usually caused by a disruption in our progress by other swimmers. Something is wrong with your calorie count and I would encourage you to check your Fitbit app settings From the "Today" screen touch your icon in the top right corner>Fitbit settings>manage data & privacy>manage your data>settings (top left tab)personal info> make sure you have sex/height/weight set correctly & sync your app.
You may find this article of interest How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity? - Fitbit Help Center although it does not explain the apparent shortfall of your calorie burn.
I hope this helps.
Cheers
