Inspire 3 - thinks I am asleep when I take it off

Hello, I am a new user and have completed my first day of using my new (not refurbished) Inspire 3. I took my Fitbit off around 8:00pm yesterday to shower and wind down for bed. Then, I put it back on a couple hours later. However, when I looked at my sleep data in the morning, it says I fell asleep around 8:00pm when I set it down on my desk. How do you prevent this from happening? I don’t want to manually correct my sleep log every single day. It should just be right the first time. TIA!

@BirdieBrain , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.

When you took the Inspire 3 off, when placed on the desk, does it have anything on the back (bottle, lamp, etc) that might reflect the green LEDs?

I ask, because we have noticed that in some cases if the green LEDs are reflected when the tracker is not worn, it might "detect"/ "think" that it is worn.

Try restarting the Inspire 3 and when taking it off, leave it so that there is nothing on the back reflecting the hear rate sensor.
