Inspire 3 under counting steps and short on distance

After performing very well for 9 months, my inspire 3 is now logging 5000 steps/2.5 miles on a route that is 6000 steps/3 miles. It says it uses GPS to calculate stride length but it isn't doing it accurately.

Mine is also doing this and I’ve only had mine for 3 weeks. When I phoned Fitbit yesterday for  advice. They said to reset but it hasn’t helped. I’m waiting to hear back from them.

Their last big update added something under settings regarding whether or not to use Automatic Location for activities, which I denied. It is off for me. Maybe that broke something? I have noticed sometimes I do steps now and they're not recorded, so there's definitely something going on after their update.

I am having other issues such as wrong HR when sitting at the computer desk, and wrong Zone Mins because of it.

I'm not QA for Fitbit, so maybe someone there can respond...
